WIGAN Council's green team is set to tour supermarkets giving shoppers advice about how to slim their bins.
By mid-March every household in the borough will have received a special bag for recycling newspapers and magazines and there will be more advice about recycling at supermarkets from next month.
On February 5 the council's recycling experts will be at Sainsbury's on Atherleigh Way, Leigh from 1pm to 4pm. They will be at: Tesco, Cross Street, Hindley ( Feb 20, 9am-noon); Somerfield, Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (March 2, 1pm-4pm) and Tesco, Crab Tree Lane, Atherton (March 17, 9am-noon).
