ATHERTON Colls collected another precious survival point when they drew 1-1 at Alder House with league favourites Mossley.
Colls made a dream start, taking the lead after just two minutes when new signing from Kendal, Phil Brown, glanced in a header.
The visitors did level after 26 minutes when Tony Coyne finished well from a Tony Carroll centre.
Martyn Stewart twice went close for Colls who were denied strong claims for a penalty. The Mossley goalkeeper had to be at his best to thwart Andy Bridge and in the dying seconds Stewart headed over the bar with only the keeper to beat.
