A CAR and a garage were destroyed when petrol fumes ignited.
A fire crew from Leigh attended the fire at Haddon Road, Lowton, at 9.20am on Sunday and remained at the scene for two hours.
A man working on his Fiat Cinquecento in his garage, which was attached to his house, was not injured in the fire.
