SHAKERS' boss Graham Barrow reckoned his side would have been hard done by not to have taken anything from Tuesday night's game.

And he believes that Gareth Seddon's late, late equaliser could have earned his side a crucial point come the end of the season.

"To be honest I thought we deserved something out of the match," he said.

"We played well in the first half but didn't get anything only to concede a poor goal, that was the big mistake, giving them something to hold onto.

"I didn't see the incident but by all accounts it was a mistake but then we missed the penalty.

"The second half disappointed me because I don't think we cleared our heads from the penalty miss.

"Some of the players lost their heads and we lost our shape.

"Gareth's head went down and it affected one or two of the other lads.

"He has to learn that things like that are going to happen to him, it's like missing a sitter, it's a professional game and you have to have the ability to pull yourself around.

"I looked at him at half time and wondered about taking him off, in the end it was a good thing he stayed on and got the goal.

"We tried everything. Dave Nugent has done well in the games he's come on recently, so we went with three up front and that paid off for a spell and we created a couple of good chances, including that good shot from Terry Dunfield.

"Then that died a death, but without Jon Daly up front we weren't winning any headers so we threw Danny Swailes up and thankfully got a result.

"Lee Unsworth's legs had gone, he'd run himself into the ground over the past two games after being missing for more than a month.

"But it was a fantastic cross from his replacement Matty Barrass for the goal.

"I'm just glad the lads had it in them to come back as late as that. It could turn out to be a very valuable point."
