A 29 YEAR-old Blackburn man "virtually fell" out of his car when stopped by police in the early hours of the morning.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Jahangir Hussain staggered several steps before getting his balance.
A subsequent breathalyser test showed he was more than three times the drink-drive limit.
Hussain, of Selkirk Close, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol and without insurance. He was made subject to a community rehabilitation order for 12 months, disqualified from driving for three years and fined £100 with £65 costs.
Hussain, who gave a reading of 112 against the legal limit of 35, agreed to be referred to the drink-drive rehabilitation programme.
Roger Pickles, defending, said his client accepted that he wasan alcoholic and that drink had already cost him his marriage.
