PUPILS of St Gabriel's C of E Primary School, Blackburn, know 'Value for Money' when they see it!
Their entry won first place in the Annual Easter Egg 'Value for Money' competition for 2004.
The inter-school competition, sponsored by Blackburn Rovers, promotes awareness in junior school children of the importance of making the right consumer choice.
The competition asked a class or group of junior school children to evaluate three leading brands of chocolate Easter eggs on taste, contents, packaging, price and weight, then to decide which one offers the best 'Value for Money'.
More than 500 children participated in the competition and received a specially designed Achievement Certificate as recognition of their hard work.
All entries were displayed in one of entertainment suites at Ewood Park.
Prizes went to the top three entries, runners-up being Wensley Fold and Roe Lee Park. Prize for the best visual display went to Newfield School.
