PADIHAM face one of their most unpredictable trips of the season when they go to Holker Old Boys in NWCL Division Two tonight.

The Barrow side have produced some extraordinary results on their travels to East Lancashire this season, including two victories at the Arbories, 5-0 in the league and 4-3 in the Division Two Trophy.

And in recent weeks they have lost 6-0 to Colne and also conceded six at Great Harwood - where they hit seven in reply.

But Padiham produced their own freak result at the weekend when they recovered from 4-1 down at half-time to beat Norton 5-4.

Joint caretaker manager Anthony McCluskey said: "We weren't too bothered being 4-1 down because we knew with the wind we'd be camped in their half.

"We knew we still had a chance and that the game wasn't over but the conditions were horrendous.

"Holker have two sides, and the one at home is better than the one away so we don't know what to expect when we go up there."

Paul Baker is unable to make the trip but Padiham have a clean bill of health for the game.

Young Wayne Morrison, who scored twice against Norton, is likely to continue in the side
