CHILDREN at Unsworth Primary got their bags packed for a tour of the world without ever leaving the school grounds.
As part of the school's geography week each classroom was made into a different country of the world, or region of the United Kingdom.
Children visited each one in tourist parties, learning about food, clothes and cultures around the globe.
Along the way they took tea in Japan, enjoyed Greek dancing and visited a Bedouin tent in Morocco.
Closer to home there was "surfing" in Cornwall, and building dry stone wall in Yorkshire using an assortment of boxes.
Along with the tours, there was an orienteering and weather fancy dress day, as well as a world fashion show.
Geography co-ordinator Carol Porter said: "The children had a ball. They were all chatting about what they had done afterwards, and there were plenty of happy smiling faces.
"It's all about being creative with the curriculum. As well as supporting teaching of geography there was the chance to cover a wide of areas including maths, art, literacy and design."
