MR Wignall wrote (LET, March 18) saying that both 4x4 off-road vehicles, motorcycles and doubtless any other engine/motor powered vehicles should be allowed to use public foot/bridleways in the countryside!
Ordinary vehicle insurance "does not" cover drivers for any injuries, damage or accident which occurs off the "road tax funded highways system!"
Some ramblers make a mess of the countryside, the majority do not!
