HOLKER Old Boys victory over Padiham at Rakesmoor last night gave the Cumbrian side a unique treble over the Storks this season with a double in the league and a cup win as well.
It's never easy making the 200-mile trip in midweek, and with the Barrow-based side fielding a stronger than usual line-up, the Storks ended up on the wrong side of the 5-0 scoreline.
David Swarbrick went on a one-man goal spree in the first half, completing a well-taken hat-trick with goals in the 16th, 32nd and 42nd minutes. Things didn't get any better 10 minutes after the break either as a 35-yard screamer of a free kick by Scott Ellis crashed into the Padiham net to give the home side a 4-0 lead.
Gareth Brunton completed a miserable night for the Storks by scoring a fifth in the 67th minute to give the home side all three points.
