A ROSSENDALE pressure group believe residents and businesses in the area are against the council's proposal to introduce parking charges.
Rossendale Chartists have put together a draft response to Rossendale's Council's plans in which they say residents, businesses and workers have all voiced concerns.
Now the group are inviting comments from those affected by the plans by viewing the response on its website.
The group set up to promote good local government practice argue parking charges linked to resident parking schemes will not work because of the lack of legal on-street parking.
Brenda Wilkinson, Chartists' Secretary said: "Why is it that our Council cannot see what is obvious to everyone else? It is way past time that it started to listen to the people of Rossendale."
