ACTRESS Lisa Tarbuck has challenged the people of Lancashire to get involved in a project to help the environment.
The Environment Agency Action Earth 2004 campaign, which will be running until June 5 this year, is being run by the Environment Agency and the Community Service Volunteers.
It asks people to develop projects to help the environment.
Ideas are then registered and are eligible for a £50 grant.
One winner in each of five award categories will also receive a £200 cash prize.
Lisa said: "It's a great opportunity for people to start thinking about what needs doing in their local area.
"The whole area will benefit from your actions for a long time to come."
More than 700 projects were registered last year and 800 acres of land were improved.
Anyone who is interested in registering a project should call 0121 3287455 or visit the website www.csv.org.uk/actionearth
