Glen Little's Turf Moor diary. . .

NO NEED to man the lifeboats just yet!

The situation just got more worrying, with Derby picking up an unexpected point at Sheffield United - but let's remember a point is all it was.

Other teams, like Gillingham for example, have had games in hand for a while, but they have all been used up now and the situation is just as tight.

We've known for a while the situation we find ourselves in, but the time to start getting really concerned is when the sides around you all start winning games.

For now, the situation is still in our own hands and you won't find anyone at Turf Moor panicking while that's the case.

Psychologically, I suppose dropping into the bottom three is a bit of a blow because we feel we are playing well enough to be clear of all relegation worries already.

But they say the table never lies and it's now all about focus for us.

Every game now is vitally important, starting at Bradford on Saturday. They will see this as their main derby game and I'm sure Bryan Robson will have his players pumped up because they are fast running out of time and opportunities.

But I can assure you we are itching to get out there and pick up all three points because having the Wimbledon game called off so late was a bitter blow.

Sometimes, on your way to the ground, you have a feeling a game might be in doubt, but not once did I ever consider the high winds being a problem.

It was only when we were in the dressing room that we started getting whispers that something might be wrong.

But you can't really argue with health and safety, so the gaffer just told us to get off home.

Normally we might have done a spot of training, but with having the midweek game at Forest and quite a few players carrying niggly little injuries, hopefully the little break will do us good.

I know I'm suffering at the moment, having seen a toenail drop off. Anyone who has gone through the same thing will know how uncomfortable it can be, and toe injuries are just about the worst you can pick up.

Luke Chadwick had a problem earlier this season that affected him, and toenails don't grow back overnight!

At the moment it's just a case of covering it with a plaster and then a sponge and getting through the games.

It's certainly not something that's going to keep me out though because the remaining games are far too important.

There's a lot of football still to be played and looking around at our relegation rivals, most have pretty tough games to come.

Our run-in is one of the less demanding on paper. Now it's all about showing that on grass.
