TALENTED youngsters from East Lancashire will be taking to the stage next week in the latest production by Burnley Youth Theatre.

Curtains go up on Bill's New Frock on Wednesday, March 31, and the play, a comedy directed by Jane Hall, runs for three nights.

Burnley Youth Theatre's artistic director, Jacky Riddell, said: "This play is a lot of fun, and the young people's enjoyment of the storyline shines through their performances.

"We hope a lot of families will come and see it, as it is very funny, but also says a lot about the way society sometimes treats boys and girls very differently."

Performances are being held at Burnley Youth Theatre's site in Queens Park Road and all start at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £3.50 or £2.50 for children, senior citizens and the unemployed and are available by telephoning 01282 427767.
