SIR,
REGARDING the proposed new bye-pass (A5225), I wonder if the parents of the pupils at Westleigh High School and the people of Pickley Green realise how close the road will be to the school playing field.
The proposed road will only be a few metres from the field, just behind the goal posts.
This will be a danger to the children and there will be heavy pollution from all the vehicles using this road.
Wigan Council at this time will not give exact details of the dimensions of the road, but if it is built the last open green space in this area will be blighted for ever.
