NEWCHURCH WI members celebrated their branch's 45th birthday.
At Newchurch Parish Hall the Culcheth group's President Mrs S Brown welcomed members and thanked Mrs J Walker for flowers. Earlier members raised £101.30 at a coffee morning.
Guest speaker, Miss C Taylor read an amusing collection of poems and anecdotes gathered during career teaching infants.
At the next meeting on April 14 at 7.30pm there will be a talk entitled "If music be the food of love."
Diary dates: May 2, Lowry Theatre, July 21, a garden party at 1 Chatsworth Avenue.
