A MASSIVE 87,000 sq ft warehouse-customer contact centre and 70 jobs are coming to a prime development site in Pilsworth.

Cosmetics giant LOral are to relocate to the thriving Pilsworth Industrial Park later this year from their existing base at Chadderton, Manchester.

LOral has taken a pre-let on the land from Ask Property Developments which has extended its portfolio by securing 18 acres at the 380,000 sq ft Park 66 industrial park at Pilsworth.

Six acres of land has been purchased by Ask for the initial phase of development, and its first major pre-let is LOral who are to occupy an 87,000 sq ft distribution warehouse and customer contact centre.

The cosmetics business will be using the warehouse for its professional products Division and will be re-locating around 70 staff.

The company has signed a 15-year lease of the fully-fitted high specification building, set within phase one of the development, which is expected to be due for occupation in November.

Ask Developments is offering units of between 50,000 sq ft and 120,000 sq ft available within phase two and three of the scheme.

John Hughes, development executive at Ask Developments said: "We are delighted with this addition to our rapidly expanding portfolio".

Jean-Franois Moulin, operations manager for LOral professional products commented: "Park 66 provides an ideal location. We considered a number of sites for our re-location and Ask were not only able to meet our deadlines. Park 66 fulfils all our criteria and we are delighted to be the first to take substantial space here".
