MRS Austin and her alias "Bury Pensioner" (Letters, March 2) would like us to think that the BNP is "a political party like any other".
Who is she trying to kid? The BNP is a single-issue campaign based on the hatred of all foreigners and ethnic minorities including Jewish people. It has no political programme for government other than forced deportation of millions of people.
Instead of issuing phoney press releases about fantasy meetings of cheerful, good-natured BNP supporters, perhaps Mrs Austin should tell us a bit more about the reality of the thuggish conduct of BNP supporters in Halifax, Oldham and Burnley?
How many of their councillors were forced to resign within months of being elected? And why?
