A BUS company refused to send buses to certain areas of Blackburn because of vandal attacks on vehicles.
Blackburn Transport withdrew its service for the first time in 20 years from the Shadsworth and Higher Croft areas.
The Duke of Westminster praised two Blackburn Roman Catholic schools for their excellent standards. He visited Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and Roman Road Primary, and said they were an example to other schools.
