NEW signings Dele Adebola and Lenny Johnrose will join Burnley's fight for survival at Bradford tomorrow.

Coventry striker Adebola has signed an initial loan deal until the summer to end nine months of hell at Coventry.

And Johnrose needs little introduction to Clarets fans, signing non-contract terms for a third spell with the club after severing all ties with Swansea last week.

Clarets boss Stan Ternent has included both players in his squad for tomorrow's crucial Roses clash with City at Valley Parade.

And Ternent now feels he has the final pieces in place as he plots a path to First Division survival.

He said: "Dele is a proper player in the Gareth Taylor mould and I haven't had that option for quite a while.

"Now we have a striker who not that long ago was being signed for big money. I've had my eye him for a while and it's no secret I've tried to sign him in the past.

"He's a big lad who is strong, can hold the ball up and is left-sided. Perhaps the crowd have been giving him a bit of stick at Coventry, but all he will get here is encouragement."

Adebola incurred the wrath of the Highfield Road crowd after struggling to find the net regularly following his move from Crystal Palace last summer.

The Nigerian striker, who six years ago moved from Crewe to Birmingham for £1m, has scored just three goals in 33 appearances for City, mostly as a substitute.

And since Gary McAllister quit as Sky Blues boss, new incumbent Eric Black has made it clear the 28-year-old is no longer part of his plans."

Johnrose, 34, rejoins the Clarets after rejecting a late approach from Third Division promotion-chasers Huddersfield.

The versatile midfielder has enjoyed spells at Bury and Swansea - under Brian Flynn - since twice being released by the Clarets in 2002.

However, following Flynn's sacking last week, Johnrose also left the club to open the door for a move back north.

Ternent said: "Lenny is a completely no-risk signing as far as I am concerned. I know all there is to know about him and as luck would have it I heard he got settled up at Swansea and I got on the phone straight away.

"Importantly, he gives me another body at this juncture, but his overall experience will be vital.

"I have competition for places in all areas now and it means I can stick with Graham Branch, along with David May and Mark McGregor, at the back because I want to keep clean sheets."

Burnley fans are reminded they can pay on the day at Bradford tomorrow. However, supporters are being asked to get to the ground early to avoid congestion at the turnstiles.
