RADCLIFFE AMATEURS...3 BOLTON COUNTY...1

Redrow Lancashire Amateur League: TWO-goal, Jonathan Tuke, paved the way for Ammies to overcome both the gale force wind and the County defence, to record another win.

Tuke, a right-sided winger or fullback, was played up front for just the second time, and repaid the faith shown in him by bagging a brace for Ammies, before joining Radcliffe Boro

The game was badly affected by the wind, with Ammies deciding to go against it in the first half.

The decision paid off, as they reached half-time with the scoreline goalless.

But things got worse before they got better.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, centre-back Mark Maffia made an uncharacteristic mistake, when he mis-hit a back pass and a County player nipped in to turn the ball around the stranded Ammies keeper to give the visitors the lead.

But on the hour Tuke harnessed the elements and sent his 25-yard lob over the County keeper and into the net to square things.

He then popped up again, 15 minutes later, to send a crisp shot into the bottom corner of the County net from an acute angle just inside the box.

Ammies' other centre-back, Paul Cameron, then got in on the act, netting Ammies' third.

After taking the ball into the County half, he struck a goal-bound effort from 40 yards.

The County keeper appeared to have it covered, but the ball struck a divot and bounced over him and into the net to round off the scoring.

The result leaves Ammies in fourth spot.
