STEVE Hollis could be in line for a return to action when Accrington Stanley reserves take on Leigh RMI reserves tomorrow.

The Reds are expected to field a reasonably strong line-up at Hilton Park for the Lancashire League Cup semi-final match.

And full back Hollis could feature after recovering from a knee injury.

The 31-year-old, who was sidelined for 12 months until February last year after having surgery to repair his cartilage and medial ligament, opted for rest after taking a knock in the 1-1 draw against Northwich last month.

Hollis said: "The injury flared up again and I wasn't able to run on it for a while.

"I've been doing a little bit of training so I might play some part in the game tomorrow, but at the same time I don't want to come back too soon because there are still a lot of games coming up."

The Reds' senior side doesn't have a fixture this weekend as Telford are involved in FA Trophy semi-finals. That game has been re-arranged for next Thursday, while they are involved in the FA Marsden Challenge Trophy final first leg at home to Morecambe on Tuesday.

Hollis, who has now completed his suspension for accumulating 10 bookings, added: "I hope to be involved against Morecambe but I'm not sure if I will be or not because I don't think I will be match fit enough to play.

"Hopefully I'll be involved again next Thursday though."
