A 26 YEAR-old man attacked the landlord when he was asked to leave a Darwen pub.

Blackburn magistrates heard that that shortly afterwards Luc Wrenal was found in a dental surgery, which he claimed belonged to his father.

Wrenal, of School Street, Darwen, pleaded guilty to assault and resisting a police officer. He was remanded on bail until April 19 for the preparation of pre-sentence reports.

The court heard that Wrenal was drinking in the Black Horse in Red Earth Road.

After using his mobile phone, he began shouting and swearing and was asked to leave. He braced himself against a doorway before turning to face the landlord and lunging towards him.

Both fell to the floor and Wrenal grabbed a bottle. Other customers dragged him off and took the bottle. He then punched the landlord.

Shortly afterwards, a police officer was called to a dental surgery where the front door had been forced.

He entered and found Wrenal. He told the officer it was his father's practice.

He became abusive and struggled as he was being arrested.
