READING are weighing up a move to sign Burnley winger Glen Little.

According to sources in the south, the Royals are set to swoop for the Clarets star when his contract expires in the summer.

Little turned down the chance to join Reading a year ago after completing a loan period at the Madejski Stadium towards the end of last season.

He became a crowd favourite during his brief spell and Steve Coppell is keen to tie up his services permanently at the end of this season.

Reading boss Coppell is believed to have told fans at a forum last week that he will be signing a right winger in the summer that the Reading fans know well.

However, neither club has confirmed that any agreement has been reached, and Little is concentrating all his efforts on Burnley's big home game against already relegated Wimbledon tomorrow night, when they will try to bounce back from Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Cardiff City.

"It is not going to be as easy as everyone might think," said Little of the Dons clash.

"They are already relegated, so everyone thinks it should be an automatic three points, but if you look closely you will see that when they do lose it is only by the odd goal.

"They don't have a lot of experience and there are a lot of young players in their side - but sometimes that can help.

"They go out and play with no fear and full of enthusiasm, plus they are playing for their futures and their careers.

"So we won't be thinking of it as an easy win."

For the Clarets this is essentially their game in hand on the teams around them and a win would put three points between Burnley and the relegation zone.
