IN a meeting of Blackburn and District Hospital Management Committee, it was reported 2,720 people were awaiting admission to hospital at the end of March.
Meanwhile, emergency buses linked Blackburn and Preston railway station for nearly two hours and trains were re-routed through Bolton after a light engine had become derailed.
