REFERENDUM? When the politicians at Westminster who are paid to scrutinise options and select the option most beneficial to the country at large realise no matter which option they choose there is a strong possibility the outcome will be detrimental to the country at large.
Solution? Throw the choice to the ill-informed, unprepared, ignorant (of the issue and ramifications) electorate and then blame them when it goes pear-shaped.
This solution is known as a referendum or in the political vernacular, a cop-out.
