A DISUSED tyre and exhaust centre was badly damaged in a suspected arson attack in Leigh early on Saturday.
Firemen were called to the former ATS garage, on Rothay Street, at 2.15am after flames were seen coming through the roof.
Police evacuated an elderly woman from a nearby terraced house as firemen took two hours to bring the blaze under control.
