WEEKLY recycling collections are due to start next month, but Blackburn with Darwen Council said it has no plans to extend its controversial fortnightly rubbish collections.
Every home in the borough will receive a green recycling box and collections will begin across from May 10.
However, the fortnightly waste collection scheme being tested at 18,000 homes will not be rolled out to other residents.
The fortnightly collection scheme has drawn numerous complaints from residents who claim the scheme is unworkable.
