TWO more names have been added to Morecambe manager Jim Harvey's summer signing spree.

At the same time as Morecambe Reserves won the Lancashire Football League knockout trophy at Christie Park last week by beating Accrington Stanley 3-2, Harvey captured the signatures of experienced Conference players Carl Ruffer and Adam Sollitt.

Defender Ruffer, who has had four seasons with Chester City, has joined the Shrimps on a three-year deal.

The 29-year-old was a regular in Mark Wright's promotion line-up with more than 80 appearances prior to picking up a serious knee injury in February.

He could not regain his place in the side and finished last season out on loan at Unibond Premier runners-up Droylsden.

Sollitt, a 27-year-old six footer, started last season as first choice keeper at Scarborough last season but lost his place after a series of niggling injuries.

Sheffield born, he is best remembered for his outstanding performances for Kettering Town when they finished runners up in the Conference in 2000 - a campaign which saw Division Three Northampton Town pay £30,000 for his signature.

Things did not work out for the former Barnsley trainee at The Cobblers and he was released to Rushden and Diamonds on a free transfer before moving to Scarborough last summer.
