n Friends of Clitheroe man Edmond Cambien will pay tribute to him at Clitheroe Parish Church.

The show will include classics from Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, South Pacific and The King And I, and all proceeds raised will go to charity.

The show is on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and tickets are available from Clitheroe Tourist Centre, Market Place, Clitheroe.

n GREASE, The Lion King and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will be just some of the musicals that feature in Buddies' production of Showability.

The musical medley takes place at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre on Saturday.

n LESLEY Jackson will direct the Oswaldtwistle Players' October production - A Night On The Tiles, by Frank Vickery.

Lesley has been a stalwart of the players for many years but this is her first foray in the director's chair.

A northern comedy, the play set in the present day and will run at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre from October 20 to 23. Audition details will be sent out in July but anyone who wants to read a copy of the play earlier should contact Gayle Knight on 01254 387851.

n The AGM of the Blackburn branch of the Gilbert and Sullivan Society will take place tonight at 7.30pm in the Capita Building behind the Thwaites Theatre. All members are invited.

n A LOVER And His Lass is the quaint title of a musical evening led by the A Cappella Singers at Sacred Heart Church Hall, in Preston New Road, Blackburn, on Saturday, June 26.
