ABSEILERS leapt down a Rossendale landmark to raise money for a children's charity.

Forty-five people abseiled down Peel Tower, at Holcombe Hill, Ramsbottom, on Sunday to raise money for the Children's Hospice Appeal Trust.

The charity raises money to help supply medical equipment to hospitals across the North West that will be used by children. They are currently rasing £19,500 to buy a ventilator for the neo-natal unit at Burnley General Hospital.
