STAFF at Asda in Accrington will be kicking off a charity fundraising session by wearing football shirts to work.

They will be allowed to wear their favourite team top on June 17 in return for making a £1 donation to the Motability charity, which assists disabled people with cars, driving lessons and wheelchairs.

Customers are also being invited to do the same.

Store manager Mark Wrigley said: "There's lots of football fans working here. Although we might not all be gunning for the same team, we want to raise money for a good cause."

Motability fundraising director Hazel Gotfraind said the proceeds would help prevent disabled people being housebound or reliant on others for transport.
