ALEC Swann will be looking to use today's match with Bradford and Leeds University at Bradford's Park Avenue ground to show he can still figure in Lancashire's top order.

The opener was a forgotten man last summer when the Red Rose batting went on a run rampage and this season hasn't start well for him.

A calf injury to Mal Loye gave Swann the chance to open the batting in the first Championship game against is former club Northants, but he became the Championship's first victim of the summer when he was out lbw in the first over.

Things didn't improve in the Totesport League match the following week at Northampton, he was bowled for duck by his brother Graeme.

However, with Loye struggling with a back spasm during the Worcestershire game last week there maybe another chance for Swann to find his form and he will want some time in the middle and some big runs against the students over the next three days.
