THREE insurance brokers have merged to considerably strengthen their foothold in the market.
Radcliffe-based Stanmore Insurance Brokers have amalgamated with fellow brokers Doherty Turner of Stockport and Royle, Tyrer, also based in Stockport.
The merged companies will now trade under the Stanmore banner and the combined, enlarged 20-strong workforce are based at the Radcliffe firm's offices in Blackburn Street.
Directors are David Beesley and Jackie Hyde of Stanmore, Peter Doherty, David Turner and Lionel Royle, along with consultant Les Tyrer.
Mr David Turner said: "The merger bodes well for the future and it will certainly strengthen the market place. The increased premium income of three companies will enable us to get improved terms from the major insurers and that will benefit our clients."
