MAY I suggest to correspondent Mr S. Holt (May 14), and any other sad people who may paint their house numbers on their bins or black recycling box, that they go the whole hog and fit a tracker device in case it goes missing.
Get a grip, man; it's a box made of plastic, not 18-carat gold.
