HAVING attended the recent council meeting, I noted the hypocrisy of Conservative and Liberal Democrat councillors.
I had thought that only Labour supported the new refuse collection policy. However, it seems the policy was agreed by all parties as long ago as September 2002. In January 2004 the trial start was confirmed.
What confuses me further is a recently delivered "Newsline" from the Conservatives which says: "Conservatives remain committed to the provision of a standard weekly collection of refuse", which is exactly what their councillors voted against.
