AN under-18s disco aimed at tackling juvenile nuisance had a successful launch.
The Awakening disco at Privilege Nightclub, Darwen, provides youngsters in the town with something to do. The next is on June 3.
Club owner Reg Gorton said: "The first night was extremely enjoyable. All our customers were well behaved and had a really great time."
The club bans both alcohol and cigarettes from the event and has been given the full backing of the police.
The Dance Factory Organisation, which runs the disco, now wants a new name for the club night and has launched a competition, the winner receiving a family day out at Alton Towers.
