WHEN bowler Andy Bradley knocked over the off stump of Denton West top scorer Imi Zaman earlier this month to clinch victory against last year's league champions, he joined an elite club.

It was Bradley's 500th first team wicket for Prestwich CC - a feat only achieved by two others in the club's long history.

Neville Heys clocked up 583 victims while the all-time scourge of opposing batsmen is Bob Hinchliffe with an amazing 891 wickets.

Hinchliffe claimed 51 five-wicket hauls and his first team appearances stretched from his first in 1967 to his last in 1996.

His best season was back in 1969 when he took 93 wickets, the same year as he achieved his best figures of 8 for 11 away at Dukinfield. It was also the year he won the league's bowling averages.

Heys racked up 29 five-wicket performances, making his first outing in 1949 and his last in 1969. His best figures were at home to Cheetham in 1951 with 8 for 42.

Bradley's best came in 1992 at Swinton when he finished with 8 for 39. He has got five wickets or more in a game 21 times, and achieved a hat-trick against Cheetham Hill in his side's Walkden Cup success in 2000. His total now stands at 505.
