PRESTWICH police station has welcomed two new officers to the patch.
PC Mark Robertson and PC Tony Evans are the latest additions to the Community Beat Officer team and have special responsibility for certain areas of Prestwich.
PC Robertson (29) will be responsible for the Holyrood, Polefield and Simister areas while PC Evans (40) will cover the area around Swiss Cottage, Heywood Road, Whittaker Lane and Heaton Park.
Both officers come to Prestwich from Whitefield police station, where they have worked for four years and six and a half years respectively.
Part of their duties while at Whitefield included covering the Prestwich area, so both are familiar with the town.
Now PCs Roberston and Evans are hoping to make themselves known to the rest of the community.
