A MAN was thrown from a car and another was injured when the vehicle plunged 25ft down a moorland ravine.

The accident happened on the A666 at Cadshaw Brook Bridge, between Bolton and Darwen, at 10.30pm yesterday.

The two Blackburn men, believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, were travelling towards Darwen in a Peugeot 106.

Today they were in the Blackburn Royal Infirmary's surgical high dependency unit.
