UNLIKE my previous year's futile support for the 'Pensioners Convention' march in Blackpool, I am not supporting this year's usual shambles of a few hundred misguided senile sheep pensioners march for the following reasons:

1. The pensioners purported 'Parliament' have no truly socially-alert leadership able to fully pressurise the government.

2. Their leadership if just for self gratification media coverage and more concerned with comfort of their 5-star luxury hotels and a 'Jolly on the Town' with piffling rhetoric of the convention platform that only fools Rip Van Winkle pensioners one-hand clapping.

3. Pensioners themselves herding like sheep act like a 'Knees Up Mother Brown coach outing' creating general public opinion as 'eccentrics without real cause'.

4. Politicians of all parties laugh up their golden cufflinks sleeves at these herded pathetic pensioners frolicking along the Blackpool promenade. They would be better off stagnating in public libraries and in their boozy 'working-mens' social clubs of drunken haze.
