I AGREE with the letter published last week in regard to Morecambe's new promenade 'sculpture'.

The Citizen would not dare print the words that describe what I think of this monstrosity.

How on earth could the council approve such a ghastly object instead of putting their money - sorry, our money - into the sort of map that can be seen at the yacht club.

What do the councillors do at their meetings?. They certainly do not think of Morecambe. We want people to come here, enjoy the beautiful view over the bay and keep returning to see it again. Now the view is blocked by this object.

Morecambe could be a lovely place if it had a council that cared.
