SOMETIMES it's depressing to be right. I thought my letter from two weeks ago about the Bay Bridge proposal might have prompted a denial from someone, anyone.

So it's presumably true that it's just a trick to push the Western by-pass idea forward.

It's also true that Lancashire County Council deliberately skewed the results of its traffic survey by monitoring traffic while the Scale Hall corner lights were being 'fine tuned' - I guess it doesn't come as any great surprise to anyone.

Incidentally, anyone wishing to know more about the Bay Bridge proposal - real or otherwise - can attend a meeting on Tuesday, June 29, at the Victoria Hall in Grange-Over-Sands at 1pm.

It's open to the public and is, of course, free of charge. A variety of 'experts' will talk both for and against the idea.
