BLACKBURN Arts Club is already looking ahead by announcing its new season of plays and will hold a series of read throughs for potential cast members.

The season gets under way with One O'Clock From the House, described as a 'scorching comedy' set around a funeral, which will run from September 28 to October 2.

Next up is the return by popular demand of Inspector Drake in Inspector Drake and the Time Machine. Produced by Andrew Bell, it will run from November 23-27. Then looking into 2005, the Arts Club will be performing The Late Edwina Black from March 1-5 and The Cure for Love from May 3-7.

Read throughs for all four productions will be held during the next few weeks.

Next week, casting for One O'Clock from the House will be held on Tuesday and there are five parts for men, eight for women and one for a young boy. Then on Thursday, Inspector Drake will be run through with nine parts up for grabs.

A read through of The Late Edwina Black will be held on Tuesday, June 29, with two parts for men and two for women available.

The final reading will be on Thursday, July 1 for The Cure for Love with five male and six female parts available.
