A FIREFIGHTER suffered horrific injuries when a gas cylinder exploded at a barn blaze, at Heightside Farm, Bury Fold Lane, near Darwen. Father-of-two David Helmn was treated by paramedics and an emergency doctor, as 50 firefighters tackled the blaze.
Meanwhile, former Coronation Street star Lynn Perrie was a surprise diner at Callum's Bistro in Accrington.
Lynn, who played 'Poison' Ivy Brennan, visited it on the way home from Blackpool.
