A 35-YEAR-old woman claimed benefits despite having two jobs, a court was told.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Joanne Hadfield received £6,104 over 20 months, which she was not entitled to.
Hadfield, 35, of Highbank, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to failing to notify a change of circumstances and two offences of making false statements to receive benefit. She was made subject to a community rehabilitation order for six months with a condition that she attends the Think First programme.
Michael Singleton, prosecuting, said Hadfield, a single mother of two, had worked as a cleaner and garage operative. She would have been entitled to no benefit for 35 weeks and reduced benefit for 51 weeks.
Graham Tindall, defending, said Hadfield had no previous convictions.
