I WRITE with reference to new speed wardens (LET, June 10).

Mr Andrew Klavins obviously travels along Preston New Road every morning delivering his child to Westholme School and must be blind if he does not realise that, yes traffic does slow down to what he describes as a 'crawl' but does he not also see 'irate' motorists every morning who take it upon themselves to pull out of the 'crawling' traffic queue and form yet another 'fast track' lane to either drop off children at Beardwood School, go into the BMI hospital, turn right at Billinge End Road traffic lights.

Oh and yes I nearly forgot, those parents turning right into Meins Road taking their children to Westholme's other school site!

Yes, there is a need for the mobile speed cameras at that location and at that time of the day and yes, there is also a need for the police and not the new speed wardens to pay particular attention to those parents who park their vehicles on the footpaths, in the bus stops and across the clearly marked school entrances and then 'dart' in between moving traffic flows!
