A man who underwent a six-hour operation after having his hand slashed in two when attacked with a Samurai sword has left hospital.
The victim, in his 20s, was set upon by a gang of around 12 men after they pulled up in three cars in Brougham Street, Burnley, on June 8.
Last week, he underwent surgery at the Royal Preston Hospital to save his lefthand, cut between his fingers to his wrist.
He was discharged on Friday but police say it is too early to know if the operation was successful.
Police continued inquiries into the incident, believed to be a family dispute.
