KATHLEEN Stott, of Lammack Road, Blackburn, became the town's first ever tennis player to qualify for the All England Championships at Wimbledon.
Miss Scott beat Miss J Godffrey 6-4 7-5 during a qualifying match held at the Northern Lawn Tennis Club in Manchester to book her ticket to the finals.
