PERFORMERS from across the globe will take to the stage at Darwen Library Theatre on Saturday in a performance of dance, story and song from countries as diverse as Iraq, Iran, The Congo and Ethiopia.
The event, which will entertain the crowd from 7.30pm, will include songs sung in Farsi, Arabic, Kurdish and Turkish, as well as English.
The artists will also present dance from their native country and crowd members will be given the opportunity to participate.
There will also be a more serious section to the evening, when two women, one from Northern Ireland and the other from Iraq, will discuss their own experiences of weddings, births and widowhood.
It's organised to coincide with Refugee Week 2004. To book tickets, priced £5, contact the box office on 01254 706006.
